Born on December 22, 1992, in Gloucestershire, England, Chris Hughes grew up in a rural setting. His father, Paul Hughes, is a farmer, and his mother is Valerie Hughes. Chris has one full brother named Ben and four half-brothers. From a young age, he exhibited a keen interest in sports, playing football for Swindon Town's youth team and cricket at the junior county level for Gloucestershire. He also played for local clubs Bourton Rovers F.C. and Bourton Vale C.C. ​

Rise to Fame: Love Island and Beyond

Chris gained national attention in 2017 when he joined the third series of ITV2's reality dating show "Love Island." Entering the villa on Day 4, he quickly became a fan favorite, known for his charm and humor. He coupled with Olivia Attwood, and the pair finished in third place.
